For the third year running, Hancock Prospecting with the assistance of Okeland Communities put on another Christmas Lights Competition for the Bullsbrook community, open for both individual homes and community groups. It was another dazzling display, from traditional twinkling lights to creative and imaginative displays – Bullsbrook residents spared no effort in illuminating their homes for this friendly competition. The town’s festive spirit was contagious, with families and friends strolling through the neighborhoods to marvel at the creativity and dedication showcased in each illuminated masterpiece. Rinehart to claim Australia’s truffle farming crown

Mining magnate Gina Rinehart is quietly on her way to becoming Australia’s biggest truffle grower. “We’re always looking for good opportunities to invest and grow,” she told The Australian Financial Review. The truffles are being grown near the award-winning Bannister Downs Dairy at Northcliffe that Mrs Rinehart has owned in partnership with the Daubney family since 2014. Mrs Rinehart shed light on the venture when announcing yet another bonus stream for workers on her iron ore mines, who are already some of the best paid – and best fed – in the resources industry.

Charity lunch for the kids

Ian Chesterman President Australian Olympic Committee [pictured] along with Executive Chairman Gina Rinehart attended a special fundraising lunch for the Brisbane Children’s Hospital on Friday 3 November. The hospital was recently voted the tenth best hospital in the world for children. Ian Chesterman was the guest speaker and spoke to the audience about the exciting road to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. Mrs Gina Rinehart and Hancock Prospecting are the biggest supporters of Olympic athletes in Australian history.
