Hancock Prospecting event sponsors of the Toowoomba “Handling the Outback” ride for better breast screening equipment to help to save lives

Hancock Prospecting are also pleased to lend their support during breast cancer month as Event Sponsor at the first Toowoomba “Handling the Outback” two-day bike ride which travels from Toowoomba to Gordon Country and back, in the Darling Downs region from the 12th – 14th October.

The event will be raising funds for the BreastScreen Queensland Toowoomba Service to give women in the region a better opportunity via improved equipment to detect breast cancer early to help to save lives, and increase awareness of this vital detection service.

Given the chairman and the company group’s very long standing efforts with breast cancer research, awareness and patient assistance (the Executive Chairman Mrs. Gina Rinehart founded and chaired Australia’s first ever breast cancer foundation in 1992), the Hancock Group was delighted to be event sponsor for this fundraising event to help to save lives in the Darlings Downs region.

Mrs. Rinehart said, “Helping to support women detect breast cancer only is not only very important for the women involved, but also very important for their parents, brothers, husbands and their children, so it’s important for the whole community. With our sponsorship of the event, together with other sponsors, we hope the community is able to raise the funds it needs for this improved equipment to support their breast screening centre, and help to save lives.”

Hancock Prospecting and Mrs. Gina Rinehart send their very best wishes to all involved.
