My time allocation doesn’t permit me to continue with other Australian women who inspire, so I will finish with quotes from a leader I do admire greatly, for her sense, bravery, leadership, duty to her country, and acting in its interests, even if not popular in noisy quarters, and I hope these quotes resonate, as we sure need better leadership in our country. Artistic Swimming WA Awards September 2021

The WA Artistic Swimming Awards were held on September 11th, where swimmers of all ages, coaches, families and friends of swimmers celebrate the successes of WA artistic swimmers from the past year at the annual awards evening. As the National Championship were this year held virtually, this was also an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the successes of those who placed during the championships, and to receive their medals. A very big welcome home was given to our Perth based Tokyo Olympians!

Statement by West Australian Assembly Member for Roe Mr P. J. Rundle

As Shadow Minister for Sport and Recreation, I would like to acknowledge the excellent performance of the Australian Olympic team at the Tokyo Olympics. Athletes not only exceeded all expectations but also gave the Australian sport-loving public a great morale boost during these difficult times.

As the Olympics come to a close and on the cusp of the Paralympics, I would like to thank Gina Rinehart and the Hancock Prospecting Group for their ongoing support of our Olympic team and of sport in general.
