Artistic Swimming WA Awards September 2021

The WA Artistic Swimming Awards were held on September 11th, where swimmers of all ages, coaches, families and friends  of swimmers celebrate the successes of WA artistic swimmers from the past year at the annual awards evening. As the National Championship were this year held virtually, this was also an opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate the successes of those who placed during the championships, and to receive their medals.

A very big welcome home was given to our Perth based Tokyo Olympians!

Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions, Artistic Swimming WA Patron Mrs Gina Rinehart was unable to attend, however this year, we were delighted to introduce the inaugural Gina Rinehart Artistic Swimmer of the Year Award, an award for the swimmer who achieves the highest ranking in Australia.

2021’s Gina Rinehart Artistic Swimmer of the Year Award was presented to Amie Thompson and Emily Rogers, the duet who so proudly represented Australia in the duet competition in Tokyo – warmest congratulations Amie and Emily!

A very big congratulations to all involved with our states outstanding artistic swimmers, and huge thanks to the families and many volunteers who contribute to West Australian Artistic Swimming.
