During a private dinner ceremony held in Canberra on the 14th of June, the Australian Olympic Synchronised Swimming team presented Mrs. Rinehart a framed plaque featuring the beautiful Sturt desert Pea swimsuit which the team has worn in overseas competitions and at Roy Hill for a special presentation to staff there. During the dinner, the team made Mrs. Rinehart an honorary member of the Olympic Synchronised Swimming team, of which she is also proudly Patron. Photos of the beautiful plaque attached.
During the evening, the team and Mrs. Rinehart discussed that sponsors of sporting teams often favour male sports – an article which comments similarly appeared the next day, and is attached.
