Congratulations to Australia’s beach volleyballers Lousie Bawden and Taliqua Clancy

Australia’s beach volleyballers Louise Bawden and Taliqua Clancy proudly represented Australia as they took on the USA team in the quarter final match in Rio after 4 wins in a row to qualify for the “Elite Eight”.

In a closer match than the score suggests, they unfortunately lost out to the USA team with a score of 21-14 and 21-16. Congratulations to Louise and Taliqua on their outstanding efforts to represent Australia so wonderfully at the Olympics.

Morale was high at the volleyball house when I joined the team, with their parents, families and coaches, president Craig Carracher, John Coates and other dignitaries, and the International Volleyball President, Dr Ary Graca, who kindly gave the team and me a box of commemorative pins each.
