A little known fact is that brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease and more people under 40 than any other cancer. It is an indiscriminate and debilitating disease and one that needs support and funding.
Mrs Rinehart was delighted to be the Gold Sponsor of the Brain Cancer Research Gala Ball in Perth on Saturday 9 June in her ongoing support of the Charlie Teo Foundation, to assist in their fight to raise awareness about brain cancer and fund research to ultimately lead to better treatments.
Mrs Rinehart has a special relationship with Charlie, which extends to his dedicated efforts in helping her beloved goddaughter, Rachel. Due to overseas commitments, (launching Kidman beef in Asia), Mrs Rinehart was unable to attend, however was proudly represented by her godson, Rachel’s brother.
Dr Charlie Teo spoke of his great admiration for Mrs Rinehart and of their friendship, and of her generous and ongoing support to fight this sad and traumatising disease.
