2GB’s Mark Levy and Chris Kenny criticised the ABC’s handling of its Race Around the World segment about Gina Rinehart, saying the broadcaster took 25 days to apologise and remove or edit the clip after initially defending it as satire.

Kenny argued the episode showed poor judgment, political bias and a double standard, with the ABC quick to condemn attacks on women from the left, but slow to act when Gina Rinehart was targeted.

The discussion also raised wider concerns about ABC accountability, taxpayer funding and whether the broadcaster should be cut back or restructured.
