Premium Inpatient Suites at Mater Private Hospital

Mrs Gina Rinehart AO and the Rinehart Medical Foundation are helping to improve surroundings and comfort for patients at Mater Private Hospital, Brisbane with the opening of seven new Suites including six Premium Suites and a spacious Principal Suite unlike anything of its kind in Queensland.
These new suites are designed to provide comfort and privacy as well as have adjoining accommodations for family or carers to stay the night, enabling loved ones to be close by.
Mater General Physician Dr Chris Corney said the renovation program was co-designed with clinicians and would elevate both patient care and clinical capacity at Mater’s South Brisbane campus.
“This is a significant program of works designed to ensure clinicians have state-of-the-art facilities at Mater, and that their patients have access to a range of personalised care options. We are very grateful to Mrs Rinehart and the Rinehart Medical Foundation for making this improved facility possible,” Dr Corney said.
Gina Rinehart said “Whether a patient is recovering from spinal surgery or breast cancer, these rooms and suites are designed to give comfort and dignity during some of life’s most difficult times.
“The suites are unmatched in Queensland and my hope is that every patient who walks through these doors feels cared for and supported.”
For more than 100 years, Mater have been caring for Aussie patients and the suites will be available to privately insured and self-funded patients.
This new development again demonstrates the Rinehart Medical Foundation’s ongoing commitment to helping deliver unparalleled care for Australian patients.
