Nationals Seniors Chief Advocate Ian Henschke says Labor “should have done more” in the federal budget to address the needs of seniors in Australia.

“They should have done more with the call to let people work without such a penalty on their benefits,” Mr Henschke told Sky News Australia.

“Because the pensioner, as you know at the moment, loses 50 cents in a dollar for about the second day’s work – that system has to change.”
