Hancock Prospecting’s Gina Rinehart used her address to call for a ‘fresh look’ and ‘can do’ approach to end government red tape.

She said we could not ‘squander the opportunity’ to create world-class infrastructure ahead of the Games and we don’t want it to be ‘marred in red tape and mediocrity’.

She urged leaders to create a city that encouraged tourists from across the world to visit ‘ensuring that we have, in Queensland, competitive and beautiful world class facilities’.
