Our 2GR Wagyu Achieves an Incredible Gold Medal trifecta at the 2025 World Steak Challenge 🥇🥩


We are proud to announce that 2GR Wagyu has been recognised with five medals at the 2025 World Steak Challenge in Amsterdam, a competition regarded as the world’s leading benchmark for steak quality. The Olympics of beef!
This achievement confirms 2GR’s position among the very best beef producers in the world and highlights the consistent excellence of our Wagyu across multiple cuts.
The World Steak Challenge is known for its tough judging process, where entries are blind tested by panels of chefs, butchers, and food industry experts. Each steak is assessed both raw and cooked for marbling, aroma, colour, tenderness, flavour, and overall consistency.
From the official 2025 medallists list, 2GR Wagyu secured an impressive three gold medals awarded for our Tenderloin Fillet (Grain Fed, Australia), Ribeye (Grain Fed, Australia), and Rib Eye (Wagyu). In addition, 2GR received a Silver for our Tenderloin (Wagyu) and a Bronze Medal for our Striploin (Wagyu).
The medals will be received on the 10th of November at the World Steak Challenge awards night in London. Our Hancock Prospecting CEO, Garry Korte, will be there in person to receive these outstanding medals.
